Jim Gallant

As a member of the Seacoast Guitar Society Jim was a featured artist in their first fingerstyle  compilation CD. In a review of his instrumental fingerstyle guitar CD “River Watch”, “Good Times”  music magazine’s Ron Hart writes…”Gallant ranks among some of the finest tunesmiths in the Northeast”.  Ron Silverstein of “20th Century Guitar Magazine”, writes “A gifted acoustic guitarist, Jim M a “world class player”.

Most recently his song “The Don”, a song about the 1941 maritime tragedy which claimed the lives of 28 people from Mexico and Rumford, is being used in an upcoming MPBN documentary about the incident.

He recently finished up his latest CD “Old Hat with a New Coat”, a collection of down of down home feeling Americana songs which will keep you dancing and smiling at the same time.

Jim will be at the New Gloucester Coffeehouse with his brother Tim on bass, Mark Burns on vocals and Sid Stutzman mandolin & guitar better know as     “Jim Gallant and the Proper  Perspectives”
