Britta Pejic et sa Band de Cons

Britta Pejic and her Band de Cons is a South Portland based rock/pop outfit that features colorful and often humorously entertaining original songs (songs about giant onions, dubious recipes, and America folding in half), yet they also surprise with a cache of popular French pop songs (Piaf, Aznavour, Hardy, Gainsbourg). Band members include Chris “Cuddles” Guido on guitar, Tom Kubasik on bass and Mike Dank on drums. Not to be missed!

Synaptic Clef

Hey, there's our old friend Dar--from Cinderconk! Welcome back!

Hey, there’s our old friend Dar–great bassist from Cinderconk! Welcome back!

Jazzy trio of bass, horn and drums

High Energy, Creative, Inventive

September 6, 2014      7:30 pm

Inspired by everything from The Runaway Bunny to Moby Dick, the devilishly approachable quartet Synaptic Cleft was formed by a quadragon of musicians who used to play jazz before its untimely death during the 21st century.  Multi-humeral beat-pounder Mark Barnette’s past as an audio-aerialist launches notes of phalangeal-gravedigger Xar Adelberg’s musik-rowboat into the ravenous yaw of Frank Mauceri’s gleaming rebel-horn, while Tom Porter’s prehensile imagination discards a series of subluxations via standard para-tactile zebraphone interface.  In other words, nothing you haven’t already ignored while on hold with tech-support.   Synaptic Cleft welcomes your curiosity with its own. (Due to an injury, Sam Sherry will be stepping in for Xar on the upright bass)
