antje-090303193601ANTJE DUVEKOT

Saturday, November 7, 7:30 pm   Celebrating Antje’s new CD release!

$20. special admission price for this concert.

“Duvekot has gotten hotter, faster than any local songwriter in recent memory. Her songs feel at once fresh faced and firmly rooted, driven by the whispery sensuality of her voice. She believes in the redemptive power of the shared secret; and is utterly unafraid to mine the darkest corners of her life for songs that turn fear into resilience and isolation into community”. The Boston Globe

Antje has won some of the top songwriting awards including the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the prestigious, Kerrville (TX) “Best New Folk Award” and in one of the nation’s top music markets, she won the Boston Music Award for “Outstanding Folk Act”, three of the top prizes in the singer songwriter world.

bold rileyBOLD RILEY

Saturday, October 3, 7:30 pm

The coffeehouse season gets rolling with these great musicians from our own area, BOLD RILEY.  You can call what they do Acoustic Folk, but that isn’t the half of it.  You’ll love the close harmonies and the excellent instrumentals. Give Bold Riley a try.  Last time they were here, everybody loved them!

$10.     As always, coffee and tea are hot and free; munchies are available for a donation.

MORE about BOLD RILEY:  John Gunn of North Yarmouth lends his rhythmic prowess on the clawhammer banjo, cajon, and bodhran while Michael Hayashida of Auburn wails on fiddle and vocals.  Erin Sampson of Casco coordinates beautiful harmonies and Bold Riley’s public presence, and Julia Edwards of Bridgton sings and accompanies with guitar and accordion.  Playing a wide range of music from Americana classics and originals to acoustic takes on modern folk music, the group shares a joy for life that they bring to their music and their audiences.
