May 2010
Willie Nininger
When: May 1st at 7:30pm.
The Village Coffeehouse is pleased to have Willie Nininger back in town. A well-known performer in the Boston area, Willie has a reputation for being able to mix and match country, folk and rock with ease and a great sense of humor. The New York Post calls Willie, “an all-smiling downright charming performer who gets more enjoyment out of doing his musical thing than anyone else in recent memory.” Willie was a mainstay of the Greenwich Village Folk Scene in the 70s and 80s, became a successful entertainer in Europe in the 90s and now is back home entertaining audiences in the northeast. He is particularly known for his top flatpick guitar and solo acoustic bluegrass version of the William Tell Overture. He is sure to be a great season opener for the Village Coffeehouse.
Back by popular demand, Willie provides a night of folk, rock and familiar tunes with a touch of humor.
