Dos Canosos y Otros
(translation: “2 Gray Haired Guys and Others”) plays music in the traditional “son” Afro-Cuban style at the Village Coffeehouse on Saturday, October 3rd, starting at 7:30pm.
The group consists of Cuban born Raul Freyre on lead vocals and bongo, Gary Wittner on guitar and secondary vocals, Norm Bergeron on congas and pandeiro and Wayne Delano on saxophone. In addition to Cuban standards the group also performs original compositions and arrangements of pop tunes by The Beatles, Ray Charles, Nora Jones and others. Collectively, these musicians have performed for over half a century on five continents worldwide.
